# Cow Imposter > Cow Imposter is a free 3D cow simulator game that runs in the web browser with nothing to download, at https://cowimposter.com. You are a cow among a herd of cows and you have to behave like one, or the herd finds out you are an imposter. Silly, cute, low-poly, family friendly, with a dedicated Kids mode, a Hardcore mode and 8 languages. Made by Filip Mašek. Also spelled "Cow Impostor". Sometimes searched for as "cow simulator", "cow game", "game where you are a cow". ## What the game is - Genre: casual animal simulation with a survival twist and a social-deduction joke (you are the imposter among real cows). Single player, short runs (minutes to an hour), online leaderboard. - Setting: a small Alpine meadow with a lake, a barn, a windmill, a trough, a hay pile, a hidden cave and a cliff. About thirty AI cows wander, group, graze, moo, poop and raise calves. Day and night, rain and storms. - Goal: survive as long as possible as a cow. Score = time spent as a cow. - Needs: hunger, thirst and poop bars. Letting any of them run out ends the run. - Rules that expose you as the imposter: not mooing for a minute, running too fast, ignoring tourists when the herd stares at them, fleeing the milking, standing idle for a minute. - Characters: the farmer (water, cleaning, milking, and a knife), the bull (flirt with him), a wolf at night, tourists with cameras, the dog Bello, calves, a flute girl, a UFO, a gnome and a ghost cow in the cave. - Extras: a moo booth that records your own moo for the whole herd, a photobooth that takes polaroids, a family tree of your calves, a spoken voice guide that reads every message, lofi music that turns to metal during chases, a "How Cows See" mode (no red, blurry distance, almost 360-degree view), an optional PS2 filter. ## Who it is for - Animal lovers, people who like cute and weird games, casual players, streamers who want something silly, families. - Kids mode (dedicated setting): no knife, no wolf (a friendly fox instead), nobody gets run over, a fence at the cliff, hunger and thirst drain slowly, and instead of dying the cow faints and wakes up again. Kids mode scores stay on the device. Suitable for roughly age 5 and up; the normal game is cartoonish and not graphic, comparable to a cartoon with slapstick danger. - Hardcore mode: no bars shown, no second chance, metal music all the time, its own leaderboard. ## Platforms, price, languages - Free.
